I grew up basically poor, though luckily dad made enough money to keep a roof over our heads. My mom was a frugal shopaholic... She'd get clothes on Clearance, from Thrift stores, and garage sales. I'm not a big in-store shopper, which saves me a ton of money. The only things I ever really buy are electronics and video games (on sale or been out for a while).
