Pinch Pennies This is a good one, since I don't have any as I'm on a fixed income. I look for bargains, shop at Aldi's, go to resale shops and try to stash away a few bucks every month while still having something left over after paying bills, to go out and do things - like going to powwows. As for any tips that I've heard - haven't heard any. It seems everybody I talk to is as frustrated as I am. The economy seems to be getting worse instead of better. The latest I've heard is that we're out of the recession now and have been for two years. If that's true, then I wonder why there's still so much homelessness, no jobs and people are doing desparate things because they can't support their families, or themselves, and are losing their homes because they can't pay the mortgages. There's supposed to be help out there - where? When I go to the malls, or out shopping and walking around, it seems that yet another small business has disappeared. It's depressing.
